Behind Sun People is Simon Hafner from Graz, who has been active as a DJ and producer for more than two decades. He has been merging Footwork, Jungle, and Techno influences into a unique and distinctive sound that led to releases on renowned labels like Exit, Rua Sound or Defrostatica.

‘Transitions’, the 2021 mini-album for dBridge’s Exit Records marks a high point in his career. Uptempo dance music with a twitchy energy and deft drum programming that still has depth and subtlety and a timeless feel.

His latest release on Guides, a sub-label of Outlines, titled Joyful Discontent, is a tribute to minimalism, referencing the aesthetics of Clicks & Cuts of the late 90s / early 2000s.

In addition to his work as a musician and DJ, Sun People also pursues his musically versatile vision in a four-weekly radio show on London’s Sub.FM. He is well known for his genre-bending sets and has played at clubs and festivals across Europe, including Dimension, Fusion, and Elevate.
